Moderation Policy

Our Approach to Moderation
Corporabia is committed to maintaining a trustworthy, accurate, and professional directory. Every listing submitted to the Platform is reviewed by our moderation team before it is published. This policy explains how we review listings, what actions we may take, and how you can appeal a moderation decision.
What We Review
The following actions are subject to moderation review before they take effect:
- New listing submissions — every new business listing must be approved before it becomes publicly visible.
- Claim requests — when a user claims ownership of an existing listing, the claim is reviewed and either approved or rejected with a reason.
- Company name and CR number changes — edits to the English name, Arabic name, or Commercial Registration number of an approved listing require admin review, as these fields define the company's legal identity in the directory.
All other listing edits — such as changes to the description, contact details, tags, address, products and services, or social media links — are applied immediately through the account dashboard without requiring admin approval.
Review Process
When a listing is submitted, it enters a pending queue and is not visible to the public until it has been approved. Our moderation team reviews each submission against our Listing Guidelines and these policies. We aim to complete initial review within 2–5 business days. You will receive an in-app notification and an email when your listing is approved or rejected.
If a listing is rejected, the notification will include the reason. You may correct the issues and resubmit. Listings that raise concerns may take longer to review while we conduct additional checks.
Grounds for Rejection or Removal
A listing may be rejected during initial review or removed after publication for any of the following reasons:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Inaccurate information | False business name, incorrect contact details, fabricated products or services, non-existent address. |
| Duplicate listing | A business that already has an approved listing on the Platform. Only one listing per business entity is permitted. |
| Not a Saudi business | The business does not operate in or from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or has no legitimate presence in the Kingdom. |
| Prohibited content | Content that is illegal under Saudi law, promotes prohibited goods or services, is discriminatory, or violates public morality standards. |
| Spam or low quality | Keyword-stuffed descriptions, placeholder text, descriptions that do not meaningfully describe the business, or listings submitted solely for backlink purposes. |
| Impersonation | Claiming to be a business you do not represent, or copying another business's name, logo, or description. |
| Fraudulent claim | Submitting a claim request for a business you are not authorised to represent, or providing false documentation to support a claim. |
| Unverifiable identity | We are unable to verify that the submitter is associated with the business, and the business cannot be found through independent means. |
Verified Badge
The "Verified" badge is awarded to businesses whose identity and operational status have been independently confirmed by our team. Verification is not automatic and is not guaranteed. We may verify a business by cross-referencing its Commercial Registration (CR) number with the Ministry of Commerce, checking its website, or contacting the business directly. Verified status may be revoked if we later find that the information provided was inaccurate or if the business ceases to operate.
Featured Badge
The "Featured" badge indicates that a listing has been selected for prominent placement in search results and on the homepage. Featured status is granted at the discretion of the Platform administrators and does not constitute an endorsement of the business's quality or reliability.
Claim Request Review
When a registered user submits a claim for an existing listing, our team reviews the request to determine whether the claimant has a legitimate connection to the business. We may request additional documentation or contact the business directly to verify the claim. If approved, the listing is linked to the claimant's account. If rejected, the claimant receives a notification with the reason. Fraudulent claims are treated as a serious violation and may result in account suspension.
Reporting a Listing
If you believe a listing contains false information, is a duplicate, or otherwise violates our policies, you can report it using the "Report this listing" button on the company profile page. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We do not disclose the identity of the person who submitted a report.
Appeals
If your listing has been rejected or removed and you believe this was done in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting us at [email protected] or through the Contact page within 30 days of the moderation decision. Please include your listing name, the email address associated with your account, and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will review all appeals and respond within 5 business days.
Account Suspension
Repeated violations of our policies may result in the suspension or permanent termination of your account. We reserve the right to take this action without prior notice in cases of serious or deliberate misconduct, including fraud, impersonation, fraudulent claims, or attempts to manipulate the Platform.
